PROVO — Three suspects are in jail accused of kidnapping four men over a debt.

According to the Daily Herald, police say the three — Trent Thomas Trafny, David J. Scott and Bradley James Seamons — rushed into a home near 100 South and 1000 West in Provo late Tuesday night. They were there to collect a $400 debt.

Police say Scott used a screwdriver to try to stab the man who owed money. He missed, and the man fled the home.

Police say the suspects then rounded up four other men in the house and held them captive in the kitchen, waiting for the man who had left to return home. He never did.

Scott is accused of using a guitar to hit one man and break some furniture. The intruders eventually let three of the men go and took the last victim out of the home.

Neighbors heard noise and called police, who arrested Trafny, Scott and Seamons on suspicion of aggravated burglary, aggravated assault, aggravated kidnapping and criminal mischief. The paper reports each of the men is being held in the Utah County Jail on a $15,000 cash bail.
